So the liberal CA animal rescue from which I adopted my kittens last year, named them after this rhyme. I guess my cats are racist-- no wait, it was the Californians... I renamed Meenie because he was too sweet to live with such a mean name, but to keep him in the rhyme with his siblings, his middle name is Tigertoe. How will I ever explain to them that they've been responding to such oppressive slurs their whole lives? Any ideas for renaming?
