No idea if this pans out its very doubtful but we are baked to a crisp and had mostly 100 or higher since 2 Aug. 4th hottest Aug. Would love this to make OKC and break this high ridge just sitting on us. Was 101 today.

this fricker is swerving North and I’m gonna end up with a half inch of rain instead of the 3-5 inches forecasted earlier today

This fricking high pressure dome is just sitting over OKC locked down like Fort Knox. I don’t think even a TD could break it and it likely goes way east of OKC if it even lasts that long. The heat done just sits and bakes you day after day and it still 90 at midnight most days. With sun going down earlier its cooling a tad more in evenings its 90 right now but will be below that at midnight

Yeah, it’s been rough in panhandle as well. Vegetation has been crunchy all year. One of the driest years on record. Sucks to watch the storms in CO start heading east only to dissipate around the state line.

Latest 00z spaghetti models for Tropical Storm Edouard on LINK Tight tracks. Impacts both sides of center. Usually more on the right with this angle. Including surge numbers for sure. But not as wide reaching as with a larger storm we sometimes see. This one is small. Hurricane Watches are up, meaning maybe. Landfall tomorrow, with rainbands and storms leading up.

Yeah I’m in Kingwood. Well, the house is. In Oxford for a few days for work and to visit my niece. Anyway it seems like we are either getting slammed with rain or if it’s a little more east not much.

Hopefully they go tomorrow as well.
They canceled after school activities this afternoon and said they would be monitoring conditions for tomorrow in the woodlands.
Like most others I hope we get the rain, most of the stuff the last couple weeks has completely missed us

SW of Houston here, and I’ve been running the hell out of both my sprinkler system and a soaker hose along the house just to try to protect the foundation.
My water bill for August is going to suck between that and evaporation of the pool.
