You cant rely on wildlife in a societal collapse. Historically when there is major civil unrest wildlife is one of the first things to go. There aren't enough deer and fish to go around.

brag about having 3 years of savings

But what is that really? 167k is the median house cost in LA. So mortgage would br less than 1k/month. food 500/month, utilities 300/month. Most would only need like 60k for 3 years.

I have enough cannibutter to be okay for a year. I’ll have to stock up on pancake mix and tanks of water.

With WiFi as good as it is, I have thrown away all my hard copies of pron.

This thread got me rethinking that decision.

In a SHTF scenario, money in the bank will be useless.

Same with gold and silver also. The only metal worth having is brass and lead.

Fresh, clean water would be worth more than money.

lol, your virtual money is worthless in the event of a total economic breakdown. It becomes a barter economy if shite hits the fan. I hope you have some good night vision, a clean line of sight, and plenty of ammo. I don't, so I'm fricked. I accept that, though.

I'm at the point I almost welcome it. The herd needs thinning. I'll take care of my family.

The salmon runs here are obscene. They aren't going anywhere.

Alaska might be a different story. In the lower 48, you're screwed.

Overpopulation is not the only reason to thin the herd.

Retirement accounts, bank accounts, stocks, etc are all useless in a collapse.
