Wasn't the Sheriff in Houston visiting that fallen officer in Rehab?

Weathers also said the salon would sometimes stay open in the nighttime hours as workers finished detailed hair appointments. “That’s not unusual,” Weathers said about the late hours.

So, the officers were there at the barber shop questioning the perp about a rape, not because of a typical "domestic dispute" as most people define it, but could've been because of a rape allegation by the perp's live-in gf, I guess. Just trying to figure how "domestic dispute" was brought into the first reports & if that's simply incorrect information. ... Also read the perp had an arrest record (not sure about convictions) of attempted murder & child molestation, but don't know how that could be known if the perp himself isn't known to the public. I suppose it's possible that someone who has access to information regarding the perp's identity & arrest/conviction record could have released the info about the perp's criminal history, but not his name. Just wanting to get preliminary facts correct; I hate wrong information in these types of things.

The report of his sexual crime history was what led me to look up the sex offenders that live or work near that area.

That's what I was wondering -- first of all, if the reports of his criminal history are accurate, & also if he's been convicted of attempted murder & child molestation or just arrested for them.

BR is in desperate need of real leadership. Someone who will come down hard on these thugs and relegate them to their own neighborhoods, forcing them to confront their own issues or eat each other alive.

frick these POS thugs.

I think BR's problem with the criminal element is that even with North BR, there's these other pockets throughout the entire Parish. I mean hell, right in between two of the most desirable neighborhoods in the city limits (Hundred Oaks/Goodwood & Southdowns) is Valley Park.

Why hasn't the name of the "suspect" of the alleged crime hasn't been released yet?

I don't understand this myself....

Pretty sure this is in order to avoid retaliation against the suspect. They're concerned someone will try to kill the suspect while he's in a hospital (and more easily accessed by the public). Nurses and doctors are not supposed to be told who the person brought in is, even though a cop is with them at all times. And since they're unsure of who the person is, they're less likely to refuse care to the person, try to kill them, or release their location to the public so that someone else might.
While I personally think it would be great if someone took out this criminal so we wouldn't have to pay for his medical care or time in the prison and court system, the issue comes into play that he's considered innocent in our legal system still. Additionally, an emotional family member or friend of the officer killed walking in there with a gun to kill the criminal could result in other innocent people being hurt by stray bullets and such. That would also create another murderer to put into the court and prison system unfortunately
