Under the re opening blueprint released by EBR children will receive face to face instruction 2 days a week but the children of EBR teachers will receive face to face 4 days a week. Why are teachers’ children the exception? While parents are scrambling to adjust jobs, find childcare, rearrange schedules, etc., why are teachers not expected to do the same? At the very least it is bad optics.

Because the teachers can't work if they have to watch their own kids.

Why does EBR want teachers’ kids to DIE?

And for everyone else going through the exact same predicament?

Hell, the entire reason there is a predicament is because teachers wanted to be treated special and not go in and do there job

Because while you're at home playing with your kids,we have to grade papers and homework!!

We have to buy tissues and class decorations with our own money!!!

Does this mean that the teachers only get paid for 4 days of work too?

It must suck to have a job that doesn't give you perks that the general public doesn't get....buy hey I hear they are looking for teachers in EBR.

If you keep the teachers working, then the kids keep going to school, and their parents get to keep working too. It's a net positive, even if it appears "unfair".

What? How is teachers not having to pay for additional child care while everyone else does just appearing to be unfair as opposed to actually being unfair?

All this fair vs unfair BS is crazy....is it unfair that I can get cell phone coverage at about 50% the cost of an average man...is it unfair that the average person pays damn near 100% more than I do for a casket or funeral services....it's all because of my job.

I mean I thought all jobs had perks...do ya'll not have perks at your jobs????

Because the alternative is no teachers at schools and people can't go to work or have to pay 5 days a week of child care. It isn't fair, but if you want kids to go back to school, this is a way to do it.

Why is this the alternative? Why can’t teachers pay for 3 days a week childcare like the rest of the working population?
