People in Baton Rouge can't drive on sunny days in the summer, let alone when there is slush/sleet on the roads. If the weather is going to be nasty in the morning and closing schools keeps the kids at home and safe and off the streets, then I have no problem with it.

West Feliciana Schools closed Friday 12/8/17
St. James Parish Public Schools closed Friday 12/8/17
St. Mary Parish Schools, St. John Elementary and Hanson Memorial will be closed Friday 12/8/17
All schools in the East Baton Rouge Parish School District and Zachary community school system will be closed Friday.
Private school closures:
Silliman Institute in Clinton will be closed Friday 12/8/17
La Printaniere Montessori School will be closed Friday 12/8/17
St. James Parish Public Schools closed Friday 12/8/17
St. Mary Parish Schools, St. John Elementary and Hanson Memorial will be closed Friday 12/8/17
