Don’t care. Let them suck out all year.

I just saw on WAFB that EBR public schools will start two hours later today because of the bus drivers sick out

If it’s like here in Lafayette, no one rides the bus anymore.. carpool lines are miles long. Little Braxxton can’t take the heat.

They couldn't figure that shite out before school started?
We are talking about EBR school system. The model for dysfunctional systems.

Exactly. Gotta stretch out the negotiations so they have a bargaining chip.
They “care about the kids” though.

EBRSS had fewer and fewer students and bigger and bigger messes.

It’s worse. From a buddy with kids in the system, they basically sent out an email acknowledging they knew this was going to be a problem but just didn’t say anything.

My mom drove a school bus for 12 years. To be fair, it's a pretty terrible job. It used to be very appealing but the terrible behavior and disrespect by Zoomers has made it unbearable. My mom started around 2008 and quit when the pandemic started. She loved it for the first six years or so.

One of their drivers thought she was nascar driver yesterday. Almost ran me off the road and simply DNGAF about anyone else on the road. She was ready to get home and eat her snacks.

At some point, a raise in inflation like it has gotten to is too high for the pay at lots of jobs.
You can’t really fault them if they can’t pay bills

For the richies, that includes the private school buses.
Not all private schools use EBRPSS busses BTW.

How much are they expecting to make working, what…four/five hours a day?

Notable to remind everyone that EBR bus drivers are eligible for tenure.

They can get a raise when they stop texting and driving.
