So some bitch with an agenda didn’t want grits and eggs?

You pay $55 for the VIP. Not the damn brunch

That’s too difficult to do, it’s much easier to reinforce biases based on subject titles and headlines.

I assumed that it was a paid to attend event for all. Someone has to pay for utilities, security, stage set up, etc.

These aren’t your normal concerts your thinking of. Not nearly as expensive.

Wasn't the issue with the promoter who has been arrested on fraud charges? And wasn't the brunch/VIP done by the church?

Kanye didn't charge the church anything and didn't take any money from the event is what I read elsewhere.

You’re correct. The normal Louisiana sleaziness, it’s why Louisiana can’t have nice things. Kanye chose the wrong church.

Who would have thought a rapper turned evangelist would thank God for a tax refund and charge exorbitant amounts of money for a charade because he knows his "flock" will pay for it?
At least the "message" was free.

No, it wasn't the church either. The church had multiple disclaimers, prior to the event, the only connection they had was they donated the area of land where it took place.

All the setup, tickets, wristband, money, etc. was the event promoter "A Nation Events".

sparking comparisons to the notorious failed Fyre Festival

Fyre Festival was in the Bahamas and people dropped thousands of dollars to be there. This happened at a church in Baton Rouge and was $55.

The similarities are undeniable

Obviously anything is possible, but the lead pastor and the church's social media accounts made posts explaining that the money spent on tickets went to the promoter of the event, who were responsible for the grounds workers, barricades, setting bathrooms, etc.

The church simply gave permission for the event to be held on their property.

So technically myself, and many others, got ripped off with this $55 "brunch" ticket. That part doesn't bother me, since it was worth way more than $55 to be there. Though it wasn't illegal or anything, it was pretty shitty to charge the $55 for brunch (which they technically didn't lie about) without telling everyone general admission was free.

I can’t understand why the hell anyone would want to be there in the first place. Exactly how dumb are you?

Don’t waste time arguing with a made up mind.

I don’t think any of this was directly Kanye’s or Bethany’s fault.

It’s a bit like getting a TV for $50 and complaining the remote didn’t have batteries.
