Maybe one day California will be broken off and floats to China where it would belong.

Same here, had a place lined up in Malibu, but couldn't get a promise from a nearby landowner that they wouldn't build In front of my view, so glad I stayed in Baton Rouge

I get those two places confused, they’re so similar.

Hopefully it's effective one of these times... California can be an island.

It takes a real douche bag to wish destruction on american families after so many of you were recently impacted by Ida. I never hear a harsh word for the people on that side of the country after Ida hit. I heard empathy for others.. So many assholes in this thread.

My entire life I have thought Louisiana was full of genuine, salt of the earth people. I have a deep respect for the culture there. Not the tourist bullshite but the sense of family, history and love for others. Cajuns are the most helpful and kind people I have run across. This thread makes me sad.

Sir Winston I only replied to you because you started the thread. No offense intended.

Edit: and lastly a 4.4? Thats barely newsworthy. Its not the big one to break california off into the ocean. At least understand the richter scale if you are gonna talk shite.

One day this decade the big one is going to hit. 9 on Richter Scale San Andreas fault. I have heard it predicted since I was a kid in the 70’s.

Yep. Lots of victims in Lousiana... Meanwhile the PNW and Colorado and even parts of TN a couple of years ago had tons of damage via fire. Billions of dollars in damage. Thousands of people dead every year from forest fires. In fairness prolly 50 percent are started by tools with their gender reveal explosions or meth cookers in Oregon or cigarette smokers in SoCal.

Sam Andreas fault probably won't be the location. All the little earthquakes release the pressure. Think of it like sexy time. Do it every day and it's great but not explosive. But you go a year or 2 then the explosion is much much bigger due to built up pressure.

Yep. This. People on here complain bc they live in their bubble in Louisiana and think the world revolves around them. I know the type all too well. Pretty much claim to live by the teachings of Christianity and looking out for their neighbor but also all too quick to point out they are “holier than thou”.

My best advice is to just ignore it. People are ignorant and dumb.
