My old school, Broadmoor, is ranked 202 of 316 schools. 59% graduation rate and only 791 students. That's pathetic. My freshman year (82/83) we had nearly 2000 students.

If they have a good school in the Dutch part of town you’d expect scotlandville to have a good school as well

The 2 decades its’s been open?

Yes.

This is from a decade ago:

In 2017, Dutchtown High School was named a 2017 World-Leading Learner and was invited to join the Global Learning Network (GLN), a community of educators from schools that develop, practice, and share innovative approaches to education.

It has built a solid reputation by consistent performance for more the two decades plus that it has been open.

There are a lot of crappy schools in Louisiana, but the top 10 offers everything a student could ask for academically, and each one produces a lot of talented scholars.

It’s an honor for any school to finish anywhere near the top 10, especially a non-select public high school.

I am not buying that several of those open enrollment schools are actually better than Mandeville, Lakeshore, and Northshore

Lakeshore is definitely not superior to Mandeville due to demographics

If Dutchtown is behind Liberty - then that isn’t great.

I’d like to think my 2 sons who recently graduated with. 34 and 36 ACTs helped with that… seriously, they’ve had great teachers and a great experience with extracurricular that they will continue in college.

Baton Rouge Magnet High School is not a non-selective school; it is a selective public magnet school that requires an application process, a minimum GPA requirement, and entrance testing for admission.

BRMHS does not have entrance testing, they have placement testing to determine scheduling. They accept 100% of applicants who qualify for magnet (2.5 GPA and Basic or higher on ELA and Math LEAP, which is the same for all magnet schools in EBR).
