Same. We just moved here. Did open house the other day. I was very impressed. Campus and academics and the interactions we’ve had with faculty this far have been fantastic.

What I really like is the amount of leadership opportunities they seem to promote. Lots of upper class men interacting and mentoring underclassmen. That’s awesome and real life skills for these kids. Best decision we’ve made as a family by far.

Prairieville High will take over as the best HS in a couple of years.

Prairieville will be a good school, but I see some limitations on it as far as demographics. I’ll leave it at that.

Meh. I’d still rather send my kids to St. Amant.

I’d like to think my 2 sons who recently graduated with. 34 and 36 ACTs helped with that… seriously, they’ve had great teachers and a great experience with extracurricular that they will continue in college.

My kids went to Dutchtown. 2 had 34 ACTs and one had a 33 ACT. One is a practicing MD and the other is a year away from being an MD. My youngest will be applying to med school next year. Dutchtown prepared them for college at no cost as far as tuition.

amn , Mandeville High really fell off
Mandeville scored too low on the US News diversity ranking

Mandeville beat Dutchtown in LEAP scores, ACT cores, and national merit finalists…..

There’s a reason AP is bursting at the seams. My interactions and results now years into Middle School have been really really good. Lots of opportunities and passionate caring teachers and staff. Easy to be jaded about everything but I’ve been impressed

I’ve heard this from a few teachers in AP. I’ve also talked with some coaches who think Prairieville High will be top ranked in sports, too. Evidently that area is blowing up with families moving into the district.

I tell my kids they actually saved money at Dutchtown. My daughter is entering LSU with 30 hours of college credit thanks to classes she attended at Dutchtown.

While you’ve been busy patting yourself on the back you failed to notice:

One of your sons is dumber than the other.

There are a lot of crappy schools in Louisiana, but the top 10 offers everything a student could ask for academically, and each one produces a lot of talented scholars.

I’m really curious to know the ACT/SAT scores of top public schools vs private schools.
