It's usually a disaster at the large grocery store near me. 2 of the 6 spots are invariably out at any one time, 3 have slow or clueless geriatrics, and the 6th has someone with 40 items in the 12 or less. 
At least there is another station on the other side of the store.

I can make the same argument for some dumbass that has no cash and is paying 5 dollars for something at the gas station standing there waiting for his card to be read by the machine. My cash is a hell of a lot faster. Yet you hold people up for being to lazy to carry cash. IMO there should be minimum on paying with a card.
