Plead not guilty. Go talk to the da. See about getting into pti.

They used to do something called "Non-Adjudication of Guilt" for 1st offenses, but that was a very long time ago. Basically a plea deal where you agree to pay a fine, do some community service, and take substance abuse training in exchange for no conviction and nothing on your record.
Probably not still used, but worth asking about.

I am a criminal defense attorney in MS. Full disclosure I do not do misdemeanors a lot. I mostly do circuit/felony work, but I do know the DUI laws and have helped friends out from time to time with DUIs.
If you blew your fricked unless the stop was an illegal one. If it truely is your first offense then you should be eligible for non-adjudication under MCA 63-11-30. Pay all your shite, get an interlock, 6 months probation, all the MADD shite and it gets dismissed after a review. Essentially you plead guilty, the judge withholds acceptance. If you compete everything and pay all the fines he never accepts your guilty plea and dismisses the case. If you frick up or don’t pay he accepts the plea and you’ll be found guilty. That’s your best option IMO from the limited info you gave.

Then go frick yourself for driving after drinking.
Yep. I can't understand why anybody comes to the OT for advice on DUI's. Or medical advice, but that's another story. It never ends well for the OP.

PTI is fricking annoying. Its a racket! Why do I have to pay 300 dollars for drug classes and get interlock thing serviced! you know how expensive this shite is?

Welcome back my friend.

The legal issues don't matter. Get another DUI before your court date and shoot some heroin.

Preferably in Slidell on a Friday or Saturday night.

Nowadays states definitely share this information. The days you could skip town and not face consequence are gone.
Man up, you made a mistake... pay your fines and don't do it again (drink and drive) getting caught is immaterial. I also like the dudes who are holier than holy on here. Chances are I bet if you have drank socially in your life, you have driven a vehicle... tipsy or hammered. Hypocritical criticsm is the best.

You know what? You're right. You know what else? This is a different world than it was in 1983 when I was 22. People have choices now, easy choices, that can easily keep them from getting behind the wheel when drinking that weren't available many years ago.

They didn't have taxis in 1983?

I agree, I just laugh at some people on here that act like they make most money and have never broken a law.
Obviously this guy is young and hopefully he learned a valuable lesson. Or he is a good troll...
