I made a joke about being old and how nice LSU looks now compared to the shitty classrooms we had back in the day. Kids laughed at me. Or with me, not sure which. I expect the former.

So they don't have exposed AC ducts and hot water pipes running along the ceilings and walls anymore?

I think if you need a throwback to earlier times, I'm not sure if the bottom floor of Allen Hall has had renovations this century.

Yes, congrats on the sex, and aids.

Newsflash, chicks that frick random dudes on apps - frick lots and lots of dudes.

Millennials proud of frick apps.. hahah.

I had quite the impressive run, we did not need technology and pre-conditioned willing partners. You had to go and get that shite. The thrill of the chase is gone for you young fricks.

We actually had to be good looking, cool, smart and funny to get arse.

No wonder I did so well!

Many LSU students have been hit by cars on campus over the years. Even before smart phones.

I got ran over in the horseshoe back in 91 by a guy fighting with his wife and speeding. Pulled a TJ Hooker and jumped on the hood. The car had a broken antenna that went through my arm.

I watched a few professional engineers almost get taken out be a lightrail chasing those things for Pokemon Go.

It's not just for the students anymore.

It is absolutely unreal how almost every kid walking around has their phone held in front of their face and doesn't even look when crossing the street.

It's a pedestrian friendly campus. In order to drive through campus or park on campus you need a pass and pedestrians have the right a way. Of course it is smart to look, if you are a pedestrian, but drivers are suppose to be the ones paying attention.

I remember a couple people got hit at Tech crossing from the dorms while I was there. We didn’t have smart phones then either, I bet it’s way worse now.

I always heard LSU will pay your tuition if you get hit by an LSU truck.

That's how my three oldest went to school.

Two still have a limp, but the last kid watched some stuntman videos and figured how to bounce right off with no permanent injury.

No. If they’re not in a cross walk, it’s on them not to get hit by cars.

Semi related: people who ride bikes across crosswalks deserve what they get. If you’re on a bike, you’re not a pedestrian.

Can you imagine asking a girl out over Instagram or Snapchat and not getting the digits ever? Even while dating...

I had to force myself to memorize my boyfriend’s number after a year or so, in case of emergency or lost phone. It is kinda weird how irrelevant phone numbers have become.

This reminds me of a funny memory. My bud and I were walking down Highland in front of law school. A few feet ahead of us was a very nice looking coed in some nice shorts. A car comes driving by...a couple probably in their 50s or 60s with pawpaw driving. He is obviously checking out said coed and doesn’t realize the traffic is stopped. Plows into rear of a car. As we get beside the car mawmaw is slapping pawpaw all up beside his head as he tries to get out to survey damage. The Asian in the other car was screaming at him. Coed never broke stride.
