Dress/attire for interview in different department of your company?

What would you wear for an interview for a new position in the same company but in a different department?
Still going full suit, or would it be more casual?
I have a nice Navy suit I plan on wearing with a tie, but I’ve been told it’s probably not necessary. Khakis, dress shirt, and blazer would be enough.

Your BK uniform should suffice. Hopefully they hire you at the registers.

I always wear a suit to an interview even when I transferred departments at my company

Is it McDonald’s/Burger King or something nicer like Chick Fil A?

Business Casual is appropriate for in company interviews. Don’t go overly casual.

You answered your own question

Business casual, especially if the people know you already. If it’s big enough that you’re a total stranger, I’d say depends on industry.

Dress how they dress in that department on a regular workday.

Make sure you
a) have a wingman with you
b) both wear tuxes
c) hit on the interviewer (if she’s anywhere near do-able)

Wear a simple suit if it is an office. It's a job interview. You will stand out from all the bums that didn't wear one.

It’s for changing schools in the same system. Typical interview would be the suit.
I guess for me, there’s no harm in being overdressed.

I would go suit, probably minus the tie for my company. Coat would be optional. I don't know what your company or office is like though.

Business casual is good and not under dressed for the occasion.

When I interview people I appreciate the effort of wearing a suit. It may not get them the job, but it is noticed.

I think you should wear the suit. Interview as if it’s your first one at the company. Who knows, maybe your competition for the position is outside the company.
