How many of you have put down a deposit for an Edition One model? If not, you are already too late for a 2022 model. They've sold out.

You can't fricking edit the post to make the joke after I already made it.
Edit: Thank you.
Damn, I just censored you. I feel powerful.

Your post is proof that you didn’t watch the video in the OP. Reviewers are saying that this is an excellent product.

The Tesla Cybertruck is MUCH cheaper, which is also obvious based on the styling.
That said, GMC is likely going to beat Rivian and Tesla to this "electric trucks for people that don't really need trucks" market. It also seems to have far more off road hardware than the others.

This is crazy.
They charge $113,000 for those things before any accessories. And all of them are spoken for.

Have you priced top of the line Trucks and SUVs lately?

No. I wouldn't pay anywhere near that much for any car or truck regardless of how good it was.

The video that GMC released was 100% CGI. The truck Doug reviewed is a non-working model. This has been all smoke and mirrors.

GMC claims it has 1000HP, 11,500 lbs ft torque and 0-60 in 3 seconds.
I call BS.

Does it at least come with some ray-bans and a cutoff t-shirt?

Doug has to be one of the few automotive Youtubers that's found a way to translate his Youtube success to something else.

It's probably true. Electric motors have massive amounts of torque, and this truck has 3 of them.
I would like to see what a 3 second run to 60 will do to the truck's range though. It's a pretty big, heavy truck to move that fast. Aggressive driving probably probably depletes the charge very quickly. I'm sure that 350+ mile range estimate was normal driving on mostly flat roads.

GMC has released a lot of videos showing this rig driving around - real ones. Obviously the one where the Hummer is driving on the moon is CGI.
The Hummer is much farther along in development than the competing Rivian or Tesla trucks, although both of those companies are much smaller and more nimble than General Motors. They might catch up, but I doubt it.
They also aren't distributing to buyers until September of 2021. Did you actually think this concept was going to hit showrooms right now?

Doug reviewed the features and styling of a 2022 Prototype Bronco that didn't have an engine. You think the Bronco is smoke an mirrors too?
All of these companies are showing prototypes to youtube influencers instead of in person because of Covid. Normally this would be happening in an auto show at a giant convention center, where company outsiders also aren't allowed to drive the prototypes around.

Wrong. Everything you have seen with this vehicle moving around has been 100% CGI. There isn’t even a working prototype vehicle that can move yet.
