One of the main drivers in today's difficult climate of race-relations is the belief by many that this statement is actually accurate.
No, most of us and our relatives did not approve of that kind of behavior. In fact, most of us do not have relatives who even participated in that kind of stuff. I can understand apprehensiveness toward another race due to past wrongdoings perpetrated by a small minority against your own, but I won't go for this kind of bullshite argument being used to justify your own stance.
If this were a white repeat offender who targeted a family because they were black, you would find that most on this board would wish him the same fate as Dickerson.
