Sounds like every self-proclaimed “moderate” poster here

I’ve never understood why people have to be either liberal or conservative.

Why can’t someone be moderate/independent without the insults?

A hostile witness to the baby boomer generation, Scoot was speaking truth to power before it was cool

Scoot is just copying Kaaaaaaaaare Jooooooooohnson. Who has said the same thing for three decades. Professes to have friends on both ends of the political spectrum, claims to be faaaaaair and obJECTive, then spends the next three hours of his show, whatever it is, doling out liberal talking points.

I mean, back around Katrina, long ago now, he literally advocated toll booths on the Orleans Parish border for ANYONE coming into the city, except, perhaps, via River Road. One way in should be free. But everywhere else? Tolls to enter the city, so the city could make money off of everyone else who doesn't legally reside in the city.

It is funny to listen and hear how Tommy voiced opinions have changed since WWL was purchased by Audacy. WwL partnering with CBS news has made his radio show more liberal biased. I beleive his daughter choice of going to California also affected his personal options.

I still remember him with Dave Butts in the morning back in the day doing the Bitts and Tucker morning show on 92.3 when it was a classic rock format station in New Orleans.

It is sad what WWL has become. As far as an information/news talk/ sports station their wasn’t any better. Them days are long gone.

WWL is 50 minutes of commercials sprinkled into 10 minutes of unlistenable safe space commentary.

I was raised on this station- back when it was Rush and Buddy D. Its nothing but figs now.

Those days aren’t long gone at all.

They are still the standard for news and talk radio on the Gulf Coast and one could argue nationally.

How are the commercials?

In 30 minutes:

15 minutes of ads.
1 minute of bumper music.
14 minutes of content that is sponsored.

Agreed

Nah, his "day job" is much more valuable to him and to the audience he has. I would not want to see him give that up.

He's just a simple guy who tells it like it is and doesn't try to interject his opinion on topics that are outside of his knowledge basis. Which is how all radio people should be, but very few are these days.

Scoot got mad at me last week on social media when I asked who the old lady on the left side of the pic was. He's unlistenable at this point.
