Eh, i grew up a couple miles from here and even in the 80s and 90s it was the kind of place to avoid. You'd have to go back more than 30 years to see the decent days of Dolton. Harvey is another town like that not far away. My mom actually grew up there in the 50s and 60s and it was wonderful. I was even born there. Since the 70s or so you literally can't even drive down the road or you'll get carjacked.
