Dolly had a storybook life and was happy to share it with everyone.

I'm amazed by how many of my friends kids, and the kids in my family are upset by this.
Edit for the people downvoting me: I meant its amazing that an 80 year old country music star and actress resonates with people so young. Even though her hey day was many decades ago, she still had a huge impact on modern America.

My parents tell me that they took me to the Opry as a child. Apparantly all I could talk about was getting home to tell everyone I had seen Dolly. I wish I could actually remember this :)

Usually there's always some contrarian out there that will have something mean to say, but she seemed to always be a positive person that did the most to uplift without being divisive and nothing but positive.

One of my favorite things she ever did was when she released that rock album to be legit because she was inducted into the Rock Hall. Her Purple Rain cover was beautiful.
