So it looks like all this info is out already, that the only new thing is Labeaud pleading guilty, another small step forward.

The whole insurance system in LA needs to be gutted and rebuilt from the ground up. It still blows my mind that every time reforms are proposed to make the LA court systems more in line with those of pretty much every other state, that it is met with "well it might not make the rates go down." So every other state that has lower rates is just a coincidence and Louisiana is the lone exception. Frustrates me a lot.

“Before you accept a quick check, check with me”

“In a wreck? Need a check?“

“It’s not the size of the wreck, it’s the size of the check”

It's embarrassing that the Bar would allow this.

We watched video of this scam that was done on some news broadcast when I took drivers ed in the 90's, and it was already a few years old when we watched it. They will never stop this shite in Louisiana.

Oooh, that's a federal case, too. Lawyer A's gonna get their peepee knocked into the dirt when it gets to sentencing. I can see a judge hitting them with the high end of the sentencing guidelines.

"Video back in the 90's"> This scam has been going on for decades & decades. At one time there was a scam going in N.O. where city bus drivers were getting onto accidents at a certain location & there would be a group of "victims" waiting to jump on the bus before the cops got there. Bus driver, victims, atty, doctors, chiropractors all in on the scam.

Yep, I remember that one, I lived in N.O. from 1989 to 1999. Nothing would surprise me about that place or the people.

Crazy thing is, if you’re well versed on how it all player out, they probably would have gotten away with it except for...greed. The sheer numbers of cases happening the exact same way led the defendants to notice the very obvious pattern and dig more into it.

I wonder how far beyond Attorneys A and B this will go? I think there are bigger fish to fry from what I’ve read.

Until one of the scummy injury attorneys gets taken down too, I refuse to believe it matters.

I still can’t believe the Bar association allows the sleazy arse commercials. Make all attorneys look like scum bags.

No need to run a complex scam today.

With all the texting and driving I see being done at 70+mph, all one needs to do is switch lanes in front of a texter and lightly apply the breaks and bam

You have now been rear ended

WWLTV Drive By Robbery

Wow. Great add to the conversation.

So this LeBeaud guy spent seven years in jail for manslaughter and is now shown to be causing several wrecks with big rig trucks.

This, folks, is a guy who has zero regard for human life and would not bat an eye is an accident he caused killed your family as long as he made a couple bucks.
