as a dog owner i find it amazing and almost criminal, that you see people riding in their car and see their dog with their head out of the windows, and/ or jumping around from seat to seat . i wonder what the dog owner thinks will happen if their vehicle becomes involved in an accident ?

I'm guilty of it. No way I could kennel all of the pack.

This is nothing compared to the idiots that let their dog ride in the bed of a truck. The legislature actually had a bill moving through last year to stop this, but evidently the coon hunting lobby is most strong.

bullshite.

I can't trust my dog to not jump out, but you can trust yours to not jump in your face and cause a wreck?

I always enjoy seeing a dog with its head out the window, enjoying the ride. I smile every time.

I bet you were in favor of the legislation barring dogs from riding in the bed of pickups too. I hope a dog that has had its favorite thing in life legislated away bites you in the junk.

IT IS A frickING DOG. Let it enjoy life and stick it's nose out the window.

Damn liberals and their nanny state laws.

We do this, but we don't let him hang out the window anymore and try and minimize the "real" driving we do.

We stopped letting him put his head out the window because despite my thousands of warnings, the GF always rolled the windows down for him, and not surprisingly, he jumped out to chase a squirrel at a stop sign one day.

I had an impatient driver fly around me, nearly causing me to merge into her. She then cut me off with inches to spare, and hit the breaks. I still don't know how I didn't hit her, but when I slammed on breaks my dog flew into the dash.

When we pulled up to the light I was fuming, but there wasn't anything I could do. Interestingly I was already on my way to the vet, but my dog was ok.

My dog's kennel won't fit in my car without folding it up, so she rides in the back seat. She spends 90% of driving time sleeping anyway.

The wife's dog prefers to ride in his kennel, but he's a little dude and it fits fine.

My dog wears a harness that is buckled into the seat, she is 10 times safer than your dog loose in a box. Though I don't lord that over others like you are doing.

Riding in the bed of the truck might be my hounds favorite thing in the world. Idk though he doesn't talk. But I feel like he enjoys it.
