Ask her to put dog in crate when you're there.

We have one. Plus the robot vacuum. You cannot keep up with a shedding lab.

I have a blue heeler that sleeps in the bed with me and I bought a cane corso puppy a little over a month ago. They both sleep in the bed. It's just easier for me to house train them this way. They both get at least 1 bath a week and I wipe their feet every time they come back in the house.

Only if its a dog that wont fricking shed all over the place

This is my main complaint. Dogs that shed everywhere aren't going anywhere near my room let alone my bed.

She could just get another dog dude

Yea but then it would be OUR dog. I could train it properly, i.e. not feed it nothing but table food to the point that he won't eat dog food, house train him, so forth.

Get in on the ground floor, you know?

Negative....I am not at all comfortable sleeping in the bed with a creature that licks his own ballls and arse to clean himself. However, I am not sure either of your opinions will change dramatically, so you have to figure out whether this situation is acceptable to you long-term or not.

Nah she's hooked. I might get rid of her, I haven't fully decided yet.

But it wouldn't be right to make her ditch the dog then ditch her.

I'm the good guy here.

Losing battle but dogs should be dogs, well loved and cared for dogs, but dogs. Sleep elsewhere but the bed. Anybody that has studied dog behavior and training will agree. One of the main reasons there are so many behavior problems in dogs is because people treat them like people instead of dogs. Their brain is a dog brain and to treat them like people screws them up. Don't know what people are missing in their lives to need to make their dog a child, but it is not good for the dog. Rant over.

I couldn't agree more holy shite I lived with th a yellow lab in a small apartment after Katrina in the back of tiger land. (Only please we could find available, called it lil Bangkok) (Venezuelan players was carved into the front door from precious tenants )

Any who, holy shite I will get down voted for th hot take, but labs are the more over rated dog in the world bye to the amount of shedding that wins 10 out of 10, no victories for humans that down want to be covered in dog hair no matter what to combat.... I will never ever ever own or live with a lab again.... I dated a girl with a German Shep that would have the dog stay with me and I'd stay with her often, and that dog didn't have shite on that yellow lab. Nothing, nope, nutskin, nuffin

My dog has his own bed, but often jumps in my bed to sleep. He is family so he is welcome to sleep on my bed.

ETA: My dog is a 78 lbs. male German Shepherd
