Dog owners- how many people do you like/care about more than your dog?

Excluding immediate family members or relatives.
I got a golden retriever puppy about 4 months ago. I don't think I could come up with 10 non family members that I'd choose over her. I'll never roll my eyes at another "my dog passed away, prayers etc." thread again.

I guess people are just different.
If I had a choice between throwing my dog of 10 years into a wood chipper or watching someone I've never met get beaten with a baseball bat... It's bye bye Sarge every time.
I love my dog but I never, not once, put him above human life.

And that's including some immediate family. My Lab doesn't care if i'm piss drunk, angry, spent too much money, or if I want to be lazy all damn day. That bitch loves me no matter what.

I'd want to know what the human did to deserve an arse beating. I'm sorry, but people are the worst. If your scenario was watching an innocent child get killed then it would be the dog 100% of the time.

I don't have dogs that are mine, just some step dogs. I don't quite look at them like she does because when they shite and piss on the floor I won't hesitate to throw them across the yard.
ETA: They are really good dogs, though. 99.5% of the time I see what she sees in them.

Dog #1 I basically like everyone I know more than her. Maybe even Hillary Clinton.
