I've got a 3 year old dog who recently started marking in our house. He never did this when he was younger. I've rubbed his nose in it and whipped his arse. I can't figure out what to do to make this bastard stop. Any ideas? I've never had this problem with any of my dogs before.

Piss on him. Assert your dominance baw or before long, he’ll be sleeping in your bed banging your wife.

Incentivize him when he pees outside. Treats and praise when you see him do it.

Is he marking or does he have a dick infection?

Might be time to get him snipped.

Some dogs are more territorial than others. It's just his way of communicating with other dogs (even if they don't exist.)

Neutering is an option if he is marking. You might have him checked for urinary tract problems too.

Something’s changed in his surroundings. New dog or another dog may be sick and giving off some vibes.

Any unrelated stress or separation anxiety
We give one of our pups a sedative when storms get bad

Really need more information on you dog......

Is your dog neutered? Marking in the house is usually related to an un-neutered dog or stress/anxiety.

P.S. Holding his nose in it a whipping him really serves no purpose.

Yes, our other dog is very sick with cancer. She's riding out her final days. The young dog is very attached to the old one and acts like it's his mother.

Belly bands helped up - easy for male dogs. A few days of him pissing on himself and having to wear it may help.
