Typically the shorter the hair, the less you'll notice the shedding.

There are quite a few breeds that have hair instead of fur LINK It still sheds, just like human hair, but it's a very different experience. You won't pet the dog and come back with a hand full of fur, your furniture won't be coated with fur so that when ever you sit down you're coated with fur. Again, hair vs. fur is a huge difference, and if you have a robot vacuum running regularly you won't notice much hair either.

No-shed dogs are over rated.....get a rescue that needs a home, and vacuum regularly.

Buddy of mine had a schnauzer. Great dog. And an a-hole. But in the right way. Just did funny shite.

Habitual jumper though. And humper. No one was safe. Kids too. Damned pedo.

My wife came home with a GoldenDoodle two years ago. I didn’t want a dog especially a GoldenDoodle. Well he’s 65 lbs now smart and funny. I’m 56 and I can say I love this damn dog

Poodles don't shed. Beagles are not very big and don't shed much either.

Where are you? Camo rescue in Houston area has small dogs and a lot of them seem to be low or non shedding. They have some adorable babies for rescue.

From a Frenchie?

Your wife’s acting like a count. Put her in her place or get rid of her. And get your dog.

Probably like a Maltipoo. That’s about the smallest non-shedding dog I can think of.

Lost both of my Toy Poodles in 2020 haven't gotten another dog yet. I'd like a big dog but the Lovely and Talent GF wants another smaller dog so We are getting a Cavapoo next month

bullshite. My dog sheds more than anything Ive ever seen. Hair flies off of her like Pigpen. My Roomba could run twice a day and it wouldn't be enough. I cant even sit on my couch anymore. Non-shedding is the number 1 priority for a clean house

French Bulldogs have lots of health issues.

bullshite. I have two of them. Health issues are no worse than most breeds. A lot of it is based on their diet- don’t feed them cheap food. They’re not as low
Maintenance as some of the mixed breed mutts I’ve owned, but they aren’t nearly as bad as they’re reputed to be.

I have immensely enjoyed my FBDs and have absolutely no regrets getting them.

Bug eyed Frenchies just look so odd. Give me an old traditional Heinz 57.

I am going to give you the most obvious answer. Almost all suggestions center around the poodle. I have trained retrievers for over 18 years. My smartest lab was not as smart as my dumbest poodle. Poodles are by far the best dog that you are looking to get
