same fields with relatively similar education/experience make less than men, so I don't know what's not to understand.

Most of these studies don't take into account experience/qualifications. They use similar in a broad sense. No pun intended.

Well you have to use similar as it's gonna be pretty tough to find many comparable examples of the same exact education/experience.

So is that the answer, when it's similar that just means the men have slightly better education/experience? If so, how do we know that?

Side note: There is a bigger pay gap between white women and black men using the same metrics used to concoct this "gender gap"

Lies, damned lies, and statistics

my ex wife makes more than me, which is why she's fighting split custody so hard. count is scared shitless of having to pay support. frick what's best for the kid if you can save a couple benjis, right? If i could set it up so she wouldnt have to pay I would but its illegal to deny the child support.

Mine is set up to where my ex wife doesn't pay. I didn't want her money. I just wanted my daughter half the time.

Yes she works and makes more than me.

It does not bother me. The more we make collectively, the earlier we get to retire.

Same here. The thing that bothers me about it is if I made as much, we'd be able to retire even earlier.

She's not my wife yet, but we live together. We're working on it. I

She makes a little more than I do and I'm fine with it.

It means we can do more. We split things or take turns paying.
