Does your employer or school do Christmas parties or have they been banned?

Trying to get a feel for how much damage PC culture has done to one of our society's most treasured holidays.

We had a big blowout for Ramadan this year so I'm not expecting much for Christmas.

You must mean holiday party. Yku can't say Christmas.

We aren't having one this year because we did another event in September, so it's not a PC type.
Last year, our company President ordered 20 shots of patron followed by 20 shots of fireball. One girl threw up and another guy went to the hospital. So, that'll tell you about how ours go.

This is so stupid. I wonder what planet you people live on.

My office throws a party for just about anything. Hell, we even have monthly birthday parties for all of the employees with birthdays during that month.

We have a Christmas party. I also throw one for my SPED students. However, I have to have parents sign a waiver that they acknowledge that it's a Christmas party and their kids can participate.

Of course our private schools still do Christmas parties.
I work for a multinational company so we have holiday parties.
I don't care what they call it as long as I get booze and food out of the deal.

Same for us, meanwhile my wife's school (teacher, no pics) has had some of the craziest Christmas parties I've been too.

New York, where it's practically a crime to set up a Nativity scene display where the public can see it because it might trigger someone

I bet the most common signature is "X".

Does your employer do Christmas parties?
Yes. New Orleans band, Audubon tearoom or ballroom at the Hilton, huge buffet, open bars.

We don't do them anymore but it has nothing to do with PC culture. It has everything to do with not serving alcohol to our employees at a work function and expecting them to drive safely home.
And who has time for a work party?
We do a Christmas lunch instead.

It's a Friday evening party. How do you not have time?

We do this and a gift swap earlier that week.

We usually have cookies and milk, listen to Christmas music, color some coloring sheets, read Polar Express and take an AR test. We watch the movie if there is time.
