No - run flats

Have run flats and absolutely hate them. They do not last long and both times I have gotten flats, the tire was too badly damaged to drive on (thanks LA streets). My next vehicle purchase will not have run flats.

My car doesn't but I bought a donut. The car came with some air compressor kit.

losing 60 lbs is not going to change much. it's a cost thing that I'm sure manufacturers don't want to deal with. they probably sold the mindset of "hey if you're on a spare, you need to get a new tire anyway, so why bother putting one in?"

When I worked at Enterprise, we got a lot of complaints about cars not having spares inside them. Instead, they would come with an inflator kit. You fill the tire and it includes that liquid sealant that's supposed to work. I didn't like it, but we had no choice in whether or not cars came with spares. It feels incredibly lazy.

Same for me. My Silverado has a full size spare but with a basic steel rim----but it's at least a full size tire.

The Camry has the donut spare.

My truck does (2023), Wife's Audi(2019) does not.

The special run flat tires (don't work well when she runs into the curb) are expensive af to replace...

this no spare tire shite is news to me, the camry we bought was a 2017 and it had the little spare tire and jack in it.

i would imagine trucks are exempt from deleting spares because they go off roading

this reminds me of that year they stopped putting rear bumpers on trucks yet sold them at dealers as an option. at least back then it hurt sales enough for them to forget that idea

We now live in a world where vehicles don't have spare tires and way too many grown arse men think it is odd to carry a pocket knife.

I speak from experience. shite don't work if you get a nail in the sidewall.

It's chicken shite the way these manufacturers do this now. It's not to save weight. It's not to give better gas mileage. It's to add to the bottom line of car manufacturers.

Mine has a spare and I would not be comfortable if it didn’t. However, most people never have a flat in their whole life, and wouldn’t change their own tire even if they did.

My boat trailer doesn't have one which is one thing I need to get fixed. Tandem axle yet the manufacturer/my dealer didn't think to add a spare tire mount.

Debating whether to take it to a trailer shop and have one welded on or just throw a spare in the bed for the few times a year we take long trips.

Being a masochist living in New Orleans, I’m blessed to have 10 flats a year. I can’t imagine not having a spare.

You can get a bolt on spare tire mount. I actually have one but still keep installing in back the truck. I need to get some bolts for it to mount it back on my trailer.
