If I had a clean record I'd go through my ins. Thats the reason you have it. An $1100 fender bender wont jump your ins very much if any at all.

Lol 21 hours.

Yeah, the first quote is complete bullshite. The second might be a bit high, but only by a hundred or two. Bumper replacement with parts and labor would be about 500 and with the tail light, about 800 - 900. 1000 isn't completely outrageous, but after the first one, she might be trying to make a hundred or two just to make herself feel like she scored something.

you'll be pretty mad if/when she later makes a claim for personal injuries

Mine did that too.... After she hit my parked car... While backing out of her driveway...

Some fricking people

Call your insurance and make a claim. Or tell her to claim it and pay her deductible.

If you hit her, pay to get it back to original shape. She should be allowed to fix any and all scratched or broken parts.

If you push it, the cops will side with her. Its on record you hit her.

Someone rear ended me before and I thought I would be a nice guy and not go through insurance to get it fixed and just let the lady that hit me pay me directly for it. I will never do that again, it was like pulling teeth to get her to actually give me money after I got it fixed.

This. I did the same thing to a "nice" AA lady and filed a report. A week later my ins agent called and said she filed injury claim for neck problems. The only damage to her car was a bust tail light and the only damage to mine was my front license plate fell off.

So you literally did everything wrong you could possibly do, including driving an out of order vehicle without insurance, and you're mad at that guy for putting yourself over a barrel? Seems legit

OMG!!! You sound like a fun motherfricker to be around!! Of course you've never made any mistakes in your life!
Yes I drove a 1977 truck 3 miles to the store to get gas in it to haul firewood and did maybe $1000 in damage to his shitty Dodge. frick me for being upset over paying his $5500 quote. Not to mention I saw him the next year at that store and the truck wasn't repaired.

No I just take responsibility for my actions. Had you not broken a few laws, you would have been able to dispute the 5500 claim.

But let's not worry about all of that, frick that other guy

I said both because I don't know who is who in this case, and really don't care. If you get hit and someone pays you, great! If not, claim it on your insurance. It goes as a comp (non moving)if you tell them someone hit you and left the scene. They pay the claim, you pay the deductible.

Personally, if I was hit and someone wouldn't pay me the quote, my next call would be to the police and show them the texts.

Whatever, woman drama...this is exactly the shite that drives men crazy

frick. I didn't even think about injuries

I really don't want this reported to my insurance. I'm gonna try for $750

It's not like she's going to get the scratch on the bumper repaired. Look at the huge dent in the front. I know she's doing me a favor but it's fricked up that she tried to scam me out of 2k

Do you think this is a matter that should be kept private?

I just wanted others' opinion

Do you find no moral quandary with fricking up her shite and not caring at all about returning it to pre-accident condition? It doesn't matter what she didn't do in the past elsewhere on the vehicle. It's about what you did and making it right. File an insurance claim, or get your own quotes to repair the damage you did and handle it.

The decay is real :(

I just don't think it costs as much as her quote to do so

Obviously it's a bullshite quote considering the first one

You sure as hell better get her to sign a waiver and release before you pay.

Everyone is forgetting all the other stuff she could get Paige with. Rental car, lost time at work, injuries, etc. But keep pushing the envelope on price
