I mean if you want to frame it like that a tropical storm completely destroyed parts of the northeast several years ago and they get feet of snow every year where a lot of activities are not available for 6 months… a tropical storm

Many NOLA/BR refugees relocated to Houston and brought the culture with them...

Houston for me. Much more familiar with the area due to family there and closer proximity to home.

I can catch specks, reds and flounders within 45 minutes of Houston, vs. 4 1/2 hours from Dallas.

I can be in God's Country (Grand Isle) within 6 1/2 hours of Houston, vs. 8 1/2 hours from Dallas.

Houston gets my vote.

Nobody drives cars into flooded underpasses like Houstonians.

Houston. Better food scene. Less shitkickers.

I judge most cities on their food scenes, which in this case gives Houston the nod over Dallas

If you have any care for food, Houston is significantly better. If you want actual culture (as in international cultural exposure), Houston is better.

Dallas is a nice city, but it has no personality at all. Houston isn't some great place in that respect either, but it has much more personality and diversity (the good way) to it.

Do you want tornadoes or endless flooding? Choose one and you’ll have your answer.

fricking hated Houston by the time I left it and I used to defend it against shite talkers.

They weren’t right about everything, but the idea that Houston sucks is accurate.

Enjoy sending your kids to the 6,000 student high schools and competing for a private hitting instructor’s time against six year old Braylen’s plant worker dad who could have been in the Show if he hadn’t blown out his pinky

Both are shitholes in their own ways. I'll take Ft. Worth or San Antonio.

I'm moving to Houston next month!! Got a gentleman's ranch just West of The Woodlands. I'll be able to ride my horse through trails carved into the community and hit all the fun events in The Woodlands. I'm quite excited to get back to the South.
