Does the OT condone horizontal lines thru a 7 or Z?

I understand the origin and usage of the one through 7, but without looking up is there any reason for the one through a Z?

Make a loop on the bottom left corner of the 2 to distinguish it from a Z.

I put them through my Z because my 2 and Z are pretty identical. I write like a 5th grader.
