I googled it and the list came up. My point was more about landlocked cities having more vertical buildings than cities that can expand outward. I guess Chicago was the better example.

Other than New York and Chicago, there doesn't seem to be much difference when comparing the amount of skyscrapers in large cities and medium U.S. cities relative to their geographic locations.

The gf and I were going over the MS River Bridge yesterday, and laughing at how small downtown NO is compared to other major cities. It's pretty pathetic how much this area holds itself back

Is this a joke? New Orleans isn’t that big of a city despite how it acts. New Orleans has an awesome skyline for its size.

Rosslyn, VA - pop 12k

Calgary - pretty large city but doesn't get enough hype.

A little further north is Edmonton.

My son played baseball in the wmbl this summer...his team was based in Yorkton, but they played in all of those small cities around Regina...those Canadians support wooden bat summer leagues...some of the teams averaged 2,500+ attendance

Norfolk, VA has a great skyline. The city itself though...I guess it just depends on where you are.

My brother played rookie ball in Vancouver. The town treats them like royalty. Sell out every night, great fans, regularly win the award for best Minor League organization.

I agree, and such a nondescript building sticking out like sore thump in this world class city.

However remember, they said the same exact thing about the Eiffel Tower in 1889.

True but I don’t see opinion ever reversing in this case. It just seems objectively ugly.

Again I totally agree.

Even "The Gherkin" in London grows on you somewhat after a while, but the Tour Montparnasse will forever be an archuitectural blight that Parisians will never be truly able to justify.

Looking north from the NRG Stadium where you have the whole Houston skyline laid out before you, with the central cluster, the Texas Medical Center which is own little skyline, and the Galleria area with that 1,000 ft. building (which I think I read once, was the tallest building in the US outside of a CBD,...that's an impressive site that represents fully well the success of Houston's ability to thrive for a few decades now.

Wildcat has a good view of that. the view from the south Makes Houston look a lot denser than it is
