Does new Apple commercial promote being a complete a-hole?
Posted by Brightside Bengal

I’ve been seeing this Apple commercial alot on TV lately promoting a feature of their latest iPhone…..
LINK
It basically shows a woman trying to film her kid at a school track race with her iphone and running through / over the rest of the crowd to do so.
Does anyone feel like the message of the commercial is “If you have an iPhone, it’s OK to be a complete a-hole to everyone around you…they don’t matter.”

First time I watched it I was blown away by the stability. Second time I realized she ran people over ha.

Yeah it’s not like she’s just running along her kid. She’s knocking the shite out of everyone with an aggressive look on her face. In real life those people are called a-holes.
Feel like that’s perfect marketing in 2023. I’m getting something important on my phone, frick everything around me

I certainly thought it was selfish and inconsiderate when I first saw it.

People who are into apple products are self-centered and think they are better than everyone else.

quote:JFC are you folks serious? It's obviously absurd and the whole thing has a surreal feel to it. I hate Apple but even I wouldn't misinterpret this spot so badly.

Should they add fine print telling you not to do that like car commercials that tell you not to drive like the a-holes in their commercials?
