You know this will now happen in real life at a track meet near you. 5-10 people trying to run down the track filming their kid will be a true YouTube or World Star moment!

At least it was a parent trying to do the right thing showing up at their child's event. I think what Apple is saying is racist, that she just has no base of knowledge to draw from, to have any idea how to act in public.

That is pretty tone deaf of them to show that commercial in the times we are living in.

JFC are you folks serious? It's obviously absurd and the whole thing has a surreal feel to it. I hate Apple but even I wouldn't misinterpret this spot so badly.

Trust me. If it were a white woman running over a bunch of black people there would be an uproar in the media about white privledge…and you know it.

Somehow if you disagree with what strong black woman did in that commercial, you’re racist.

film her kid at a school track race with her iphone and running through / over the rest of the crowd to do so.

She's only bowling over the conservative parents, so it's okay.

It’s perfect in its portrayal. It’s just missing her talking loudly on speakerphone prior to the event and then blurting out “frick I gotta go” in front of a bunch of young children before filming.

In real life, no way that woman makes it to the end without falling in her arse….

Or someone sticking a leg out….

Wow. I’d have loved to be in the writers room and producers meeting creating and green lighting that commercial. It’s a comedy skit come to life as a horror film

Exactly.

I’m not sure what’s more shocking about it, the fact that they’re making someone in their customer base look like a complete a-hole, or the fact that they’re pushing forward some pretty shitty stereotypes about black people, black women in particular.

Only thing this commercial is missing is her being on speakerphone at the same time.

If it’s a white woman running through a bunch of black people, filming her kid. Would you only see a phone being advertised? And don’t lie.

You guys should be applauding Apple:

This was the first realistic commercial that I’ve seen in ages

Ex… entitled selfish black woman stampeding her way through all the white suburban moms because she care about her bae more.

Black kid outruns a bunch of little crackers

I do deduct a couple of points for her holding the iPhone in landscape - we know that shite ain’t happenin

Apple deserves an award for its honesty.

Running “from” a crowd maybe is more realistic?

I’m not lying.

Also, I was been facetious earlier in this thread.
