Real story, in 1983 I worked in the chiyoda engineering office in Yokohama. Workplace culture required on Thursdays , that us 4 clients would join 4 Chiyoda engineers for drinks after work going to a drinking club where we were positioned around a table with a Japanese hostess between each guy whose purpose was to keep our whiskey glass filled.
