I wonder what they would do if I say I'm just passing through. I could say I'm on my way to Jekyll island, Georgia which would bring me all the way through to Jacksonville.

I’m here and went through checkpoint last night. They ask you if you are from Louisiana or a couple other states. I said yes.
They asked me if I plan to stay overnight I said yes.
They said ok. You can go. Now I’m in Destin it’s no big deal

we came to FL Thursday. they do not look at your car license plate. they ask that simple question. you say no. they say have a nice day.

I'm not. Just don't wanna waste my time/money bringing my family on a trip that may not be worth the trouble if I get harassed by police the whole time. Trying to gather up some opinions and info to make the right decision. Not sure why you're so triggered.

This is not difficult, as others have said if asked by police where you are going simply say to Georgia, I got stopped at the Texas border a couple of weeks ago on my way to Houston, told them I was going to Tempe Arizona they sent me on my way. The cops don’t want to be bothered by this nonsense any more than we do.

I really think it will all be open by then. Seems that the worst case scenario would by that the keep the rental ban in place until Memorial Day
