Doctor's even recommend it for kids if they need it.

This is how I got introduced to it when my kid got started on adhd medicine. They told us that 7.5 mg was safe for her to use in middle school. I never gave her more than 3 mg though.

No. There's no evidence that melatonin actually helps you to fall asleep. Every study points to placebo effect, which is fine if it "works" for certain people.

used to, no longer. i switched to cbd based upon a question i posted here a while back and for me, it works.

some will say it is snake oil or a placebo effect and maybe it is. but for me, i sleep better than i have in a long time.

I can assure you 100% that this is false.

I take it. It helps me fall asleep, but doesn’t make me too tired to function when I’m awakened by the baby.

Any reason you take such a large dose? I’ve read it’s less effective when you take higher amounts.

I thought about it, but the more I researched it the more I decided against it.

I would like to see that research. I have as well and everything I read says it's completely safe. I mean your body naturally produces it but some people don't produce enough.

I tried cbd and it didn't work for me. At first I tried some that had b12 in it and I didn't realize it. Then, I even tried some expensive pure cbd oil and while it relaxed me like weed would do, it didn't make me sleepy.

Not less effective, but just overkill. Taking 50 mg and 5 mg has the same exact effect.

I know from experience that this can be the case with trazodone. But, I've never experienced that with melatonin. It could just be me though.
