I’ve tried melatonin. GABA and L Theanine taken together are way better.

take it most nights unless I really work out and run hard then I'm pretty beat from that. Usually I take 5-10 mg.

I was an evening workout guy and had no problem falling asleep afterwards. I’m sidelined due to injury and now I take every work day night to fall asleep

I've had back and foot issues for most of the last 18 months so I haven't been able to work out the way that I want to. I've been taking melatonin a lot more in those 18 months than I used to. I also started sleeping better after quitting the pre-workout. Some time in the last few years I've become extremely sensitive to stimulants. I won't even take b12 anymore.

I bought some recently to help me go to sleep on days where I don't drink.

I haven't had the opportunity to try it yet.

Try valerian root at bedtime, takes about 30 minutes to get really sleepy.
Supplement it with a small dose of magnesium every 3rd day.
Was on Ambien for 12 years, had to stop, so researched sleep aids, and this is hands down the answer.
It smells kind of bad, but no real taste. If you want to sleep, at least give it a try.

Your mom is a dumbass if she thinks it's good to give to kids for NO REASON. By an alcoholic dad at that.
Ask your mommy if she recommends giving to a child with no sleeping issues.

That’s a HUGE dose! And melatonin is odd in that the higher the dose, the less effective it becomes at producing restorative sleep. At 15 mg you probably aren’t even touching REM.. You should take the absolute lowest dose you can. It’s generally recommended people begin with 2 mg and increase from there as needed. Most people do well around 5. In fact, it’s often found that people who find it doesn’t work for them have made the same mistake you have....dosing too high:
