Seriously, if you can change the breaks on a RR for 3K, it's a steal. My God. If you can control the future, well, that's priceless! Whose knows what calamities you will be able to prevent? Some breaks are good. Some are bad. You 3K investment will allow you to change a tire hitting a pothole or a distracted drive from rear ending you. Ensure only good breaks in the future! Hell, go to the casino or buy a lotto ticket just to see if the breaks you bought extend beyond your vehicle!!!

My 2014 Range Rover Sport just turned over 82K miles. It pushes around 650hp and gets about 20mpg on the highway. The only problem I've had out of it, is the sensor that tells me a car is approaching in my blind spot on the driver's side. It was replaced under warranty. It is, by far, the best made automobile I have ever owned, and I've had my fair share of luxury cars. BTW, my F150 has seen the shop more times than I care to recall, and my running joke with my mechanic is, he will never be broke as long as I own a Nissan Xterra.

The Brembo complete system for a 2014 Land Rover is $7K.

No. If the rotors were flat you're okay. Only if there are grooves does it hurt the new pads.

In Ford 2x4 changing front rotors is a bitch.
Best to use the conversion kit you change the spindles to the 4x4 set up.

Well, if you ever get a job that pays better than minimum wage, maybe, just maybe, you'll be able to upgrade your Kia Soul or Nissan Versa, or whatever cracker-jack box car you drive now. What I stated in my post is 100% factual. Maybe you should ask your manager for his opinion after the fries are done. Nobody wants over-cooked fries!

I told him there is no way this is even close to what it should cost but I also own an older truck so maybe I just have no clue. What do y’all think? Sense everyone here probably drives a Range Rover or better I figured the OT would know.

I wouldn't be surprised if the quote he got from the DEALERSHIP is that much, but why would you take a car to a dealership for a non-warranty repair? The Chevy dealer is most likely going to be higher than an independent mechanic, and it's no secret that luxury car manufacturers price their parts & service like they are made of gold. I bought a set of ceramic pads for mine for about $100. Didn't even consider getting a quote from the dealership.

Yep. It's one of the easiest ways to dramatically increase HP & TQ in forced induction engines.
