Could be possible for brakes and rotors. Audi dealer wanted around $2k to do them all on my wife’s 14 Q7. Found an independent to do much cheaper and we didn’t replace the rear rotors IIrC because they were barely worn. Some of these vehicles require special tools and require electric parking brakes and wear sensors to be reset or else I’d have done it myself.

back in my early 20s i was dating a girl who drove a vw bug. She wouldn't let me change the breaks and was charged 1300 to change the pads and rotors. she insisted it was normal because it was a foreign car. She was a virgin at that point and I was pretty mad she let a mechanic frick her before i did

Absolutely agree. But the wife wanted it bad and I figured we would not have it long. Which we didnt. A few years and I was able to get out without too much damage

I really hated that car

Go for the $500 job. One way braking. You're in Louisiana so no need to worry about rolling backwards.

You wasted $65 on pads and 30 minutes of time if you only changed pads.

Toyota Yaris...I think I changed the brakes once in 275,000 miles. If I did it was only the pads. It doesn’t take much to stop a go-kart

Porsche dealer wanted $2500 for brakes and rotors on my wife's Cayenne. The parts aren't cheap but I did it myself for around $500.

the dealership
Your friend is fricking stupid. Any idiot that goes to the dealership on unwarrantied repairs deserves to get fricked in their wallet's arse. Dealerships are vile pieces of shite. Everyone who works there is a sociopathic liar.
