They do offer free classes.

Looks like we need a Yale Online Graduate Board.

If you are working towards an actual undergraduate or graduate degree, then it counts. If you enrolled in a program with no admission standards or grade requirements to graduate, then it doesn’t.

Online school isn’t going away.

Don’t 1980s this and think that if you didn’t sit in a classroom, you aren’t a student.

I’m in my 40s and if you finish online school or go to in person classes, you still get the same diploma. No point in getting bothered

Cracked some sidewalk cuz he asked why I didn’t have a jersey on, he wore my class ring indention. So I’ll allow it if he’s been blessed looking into the mirror.

My wife is getting her Masters from LSU while living in Alabama while never stepping foot on campus for classes. I’ve took her to campus for Football and baseball games. Visited Mike and looked up my plaque at the Chimes for going around the World. She cheers for the Tigers. Her grandfather lived in Tiger Stadium in the 60s. Proud to claim her soon as LSU alumni.

Yeah, no doubt you're a product of the Louisiana education system.

I’m of the opinion that you can claim you’re an LSU grad only if you attended the main Baton Rouge campus. Everything else is with the disclaimer LSU-somewhere else.

Online Student for Bama. Graduate.

Two factors here. Super smart for not doing it on campus, they hopefully saved a ton of money. I did as many correspondence courses as I could to save money (not many.) If it says UA - Tuscaloosa, that's it.

Second factor, athletics. I don't agree with it (when I saw people with UA and UF gear at LSU in the 90s going to class, the first thing I thought was not positive.) I don't think it's a big deal. It sounds like you're dealing with someone on the younger side. Who wouldn't want to be a Bulls fan during the Jordan era? The student you're talking about is about to hit realism of CFB. There will be a correction, and they'll be fine. Think about Tennessee fans between 2001 and ... recently. The ups and downs are a lesson that must be learned.

Online school can never surpass normal school because you don’t meet people the same way and miss out on all the fun with friends that could be had

What’s funny is to hear people act like LSU is some elite institution where you have to attend in-person to get the benefits.

Love the place but it’s an average-tier state school.

You miss out on the cultural part when taking classes online …missing out on the experiences. Otherwise, you’re taking the same classes. Online classes/distance learning isn’t going away.

I talk to my classmates every day and we’ve never met. I’ve also worked with people for years and never met them. Does OP suggest we don’t work for the same company?

Once worked for a business owner who did the executive MBA for Harvard. Reminded me of a southern Gaven Newsome. I was only with the company for a couple of weeks bc it was run like a shite show. Years later this guy goes to jail along with my boss at the time. She and him were knocking boots and looting his company. Thats the Harvard way!

Here’s the cute couple.
