I went and got my SUV detailed last week, but it was starting to stink after hauling around flood-demo tools and such for a few weeks.
Not to mention hauling me around after all that nastiness.

My wife takes care of her car including maintenance. I will air her tires up with my compressor when she tells me they need air.....which is once a month.

I tell her all the time that when you stop for gas it's a perfect opportunity to take all of your car trash and throw it away.
It's a great conversation, and she responds well to my suggestions...

You are the problem. My truck stays immaculate and that's with a 2 year old. My truck is 2 years old with 70,000 miles on it, and the majority of that is going from job site to job site, so don't tell me you can't keep a car clean because "its your office". My wife drives to and from work and drops our daughter off at preschool in the morning, everywhere we go together is in my truck and somehow her vehicle is constantly filthy to the point I refuse to drive or ride in it.

This. And it really wouldn't matter if you got her a Kia or a Benz.... she will never clean the inside, never clean the outside, always run that fricker so close to E that it's running on fumes, etc.

Wife's car looks like CSI with all of the dusty makeup fingerprints on the sun visor/headliner/radio/dash.

Look inside someone's car and inside their microwave oven to see just how lazy they are.

Does anyone's wife actually take care of her vehicle?

Good thing you wanted to sleep on the couch anyway. It's like camping!

Nah. I prefer that the car stay out of the kitchen.
Also, I'm fricking disappointed in the OT. Five pages for this joke to appear, unless I missed it somewhere.
YOU DISGUST ME.

I hadn't even been in my wife's car in like a year. I had to ride in it the other day, and holy frick. It was basically a dumpster.
I immediately took it to a full service car wash place.

people should be smarter about stuff not secure and then the possibility of an car accident and these objects flying around. Consider this during an accident: a 20 pound unsecured object can fly through the air with 1,000 pounds of force. Loose objects in a moving vehicle are responsible for an estimated 13,000 injuries a year. Take a moment to think about other items that you may have in your car — computers, tablets, GPS devices, pets, crates, tool boxes, suitcases, sports equipment, books, storage bins etc. Many of us tend to live out of our vehicles, planning our daily route each morning and loading up the kids or what we will need to make it through the day.
its dangerous and everyone should try to keep out the clutter. I had a coworker get 24 stitches in the back his head due to a laptop flying around when he got in a bad wreck. would have been fine with maybe some cuts and scraps if the laptop hadn't smashed his head

This thread had been therapeutic. At least now I know I'm not the only person who's wife's car is disgusting
