I didn't realize this was such a common struggle. I'll take some solace in that.
I've picked up so many half-filled Sonic Styrofoam cups that have been sitting in the cup holders for days. The backseat is for tossing random things over your shoulder. I don't dare open the trunk.

The side compartments on the doors are completely stuffed with junk, there are an assortment of cups and glasses in the drinkholders, and trash overflowing on the floor in our family car. It disgusts me and the only way it gets tidied up is if I get sick of it or I bitch about it enough that she does it. Its like she is somehow not aware of it unless I bring it to her attention!

My truck needs washing and the dash needs cleaning and it generally stays in this condition. Other than that there's no garbage in it or a bunch of crap on the seat or floor board.
My wife's looks like a garbage dumpster if I don't clean it out. It's the damnedest thing since aside that, she's a pretty neat person.

Married Twenty years and it still pisses me off. My Mom always cleaned hers or we did it. My wife is fairly clean, but her dressing area, and car are science experiments. Then she gets mad when the cleaning lady comes and she can't find anything.

I'm guessing this is not the norm, but my wife keeps her car clean. And when I say her car, that's what I mean. I have a company vehicle and when we went to buy her current ride, she picked it out, did all the negotiating and it is in her name. She WILL NOT take it to be serviced anywhere but the dealer we bought it from for anything including oil changes. She even bought tires from the dealer.(Which after a little research was a pretty good deal.) The ONLY thing I have ever done to the vehicle was change the battery which she bought from, you guessed it, the dealer. The upside to this is that the Service Manager knows her and she recently had a recall and they gave her a loaner of the model she drives, which is not the typical loaner. I make fun of her about it but the vehicle has about 60k miles on it and is in perfect condition.

I take care of my vehicles! Yes I used plural I have two vehicles and take care of both cleaning, maintenance etc... Everyone once in a while I ask my hubby to put gas in it but otherwise it's all me. I also clean his truck for him, if I didn't it would grow mold

My wife schedules the free oil changes with the dealership because they email and text her constant reminders.
I bring it and walk to a neighboring bar and drink a couple beers. Its usually a great little Saturday alone around 12 PM.

Mine takes really good care of all her stuff. She grew up a poor.
And the female Futettes didn't grow up poors but take care of their stuff.
I'd have taken it away from them in High School had they not.
It's an erryday choice to be a slob.

I enjoy driving my car that is always spotless. Maybe a bag in the passenger seat at most. Nothing on the floors.
I feel like I'm driving around a clean well maintained living room

Mine runs hers through the car wash and vacuums it every weekend.
It does get junky during the week but it gets cleaned out every weekend.

Does anyone's wife actually take care of her vehicle?
Apparently a lot more so than most according to this thread.

The one thing I learned about my wife when we first moved in together when we were just dating, is that women are absolutely fricking gross in the bathroom.
It looks like an IED of makeup and hair went off.
The rest of her belongings and the house are very clean, but holy frick the bathroom looks like the parallel dark world in Stranger Things.

My wife kept hers very clean inside and out. Used a car detail place for several years and washed it herself sometimes.
