Then don't order Doordash and go get it. Only desperate Dashers will take an order with no tip. Doordash doesn't pay great but people are out there trying to make a living when they are in-between jobs.

I have been driving for DD on and off for the last year only for little material things and when I have that month or two gap in military Active Duty pay and retired pay/VA disability, (one of them is College Football 25 for XBox). My area north of Tampa is pretty easy and safe because of all of the new build neighborhoods, retail, and apartments. My rule is I only do orders where it is at least $1 a mile or at least $5 just so I don't give the satisfaction to "no-tippers". Out of all of the times where I did an order where I saw no tip, only 5% of them gave me a cash tip. When I have ordered Doordash myself, it makes you put in a tip and if you don't want to tip, you have to pick "other" and put zero. Knowing this is why I don't do any no tip orders.

Pizza is the only thing we get delivered, and I go pick it up most of the time.

A lot if not most Mc'D's seem to have given up. Their employees are not friendly and they just don't care. I don't eat there anymore except for maybe the fil of fish during lent.

I never utilize DoorDash or Ubereats or any of that unless I’m in another country.. here in the US, You can order a basic meal for one person and after they add tax tip fees etc it’s over $35… most other countries have their own version of Ubereats where you can feed 3 or 4 people at home , delivered, for under $20 USD all in… at least in my experience .

Why would anyone door dash fast food? Good lord what a fatty fat fat trashy thing to do

We door dash chick fil a at least once a month… not because it’s far away but because it’s worth not dealing with that cluster frick. We usually have a credit or some promo that equalizes the price. Or close enough. Tip minimum of $5-7.

I don’t want delivery driver spitting (or worse) in my food.

So I tip.

I have never used it.

I highly doubt that I ever will.

If agree it’s gotten out of hand. But if someone picks up my food and brings it to my house, I’ll tip them.

That’s their tip.

They brought you food. They didn’t make it.

Why not just go through the drive thru vs paying a 50% markup?

They keep refusing the order until DD increases the payout to their liking. My brother did it for a while, if he didn't get a dollar a mile, he kept refusing.

Yes. If they deliver my order without any issues, they deserve a tip.

I drive rideshare and don't do food delivery, but I do hear from drivers that tippers on food delivery are less and less.

I think it boils down to, if you want to risk not tipping, that's fine, but you're less likely to have your food delivered in any sort of timely manner. And, once a driver picks it up, she/he's much less likely to care about your order if the driver only makes 3 bucks from it.

Personally, I think if you're paying all of these other fees to get your food delivered because you don't feel like picking it up, don't stiff the person actually delivering you the food.

Sure, after an hour wait until DD ups the base pay a couple of times.

Have fun with your cold food or your long wait.

Uber eats even allows you to pull the tip after receiving your food, which is the lowest of the low. Unless a driver spits in your food, that's real scumbag behavior to tip bait.
