Biden admin continued pouring the same resources/money into education rather than forcing people to get the vaccine, they would have avoided the backlash and probably would have more people vaccinated today than they have now..

Hmm same thing DJT said the other am in an interview with Fox News.

I know we have some serious hardcore pro-vax sheep in here

They certainly dwarf in numbers compared to the anti-vax sheep.

The problem in your thinking is that you lump anyone who doesn't get the vax into the category with anti-vax sheep.
Most of us on here follow a logical path weighing out the pros/cons and rewards/risks. The vax is certainly beneficial for some and completely unnecessary for some. Keep sheeping on though as you usually do.

I don’t really regret it because my wife and I are older and can be susceptible to complications from Covid. What pushed me over the edge in favor of it was the knowledge that vaccinated can be carriers.

Before the vaccine, most people had symptoms and could self quarantine and then inhibit the spread. Now, with more people vaccinated, it hides the symptoms if vaccinated so they may be carriers and not realize it. This helps the virus spread.

It’s like you are in a room full of knives and if you can see them, it’s easier to avoid them. After the vaccine, some of the knives are hidden, so it’s much harder to identify the danger.

because this virus is still killing 1500 Americans a day, and has killed over 800,000 people in 20 months.

Vaccine effectiveness against SARS-CoV-2 transmission and infections among household and other close contacts of confirmed cases, the Netherlands, February to May 2021
quote:

Conclusion

Our study showed that the COVID-19 vaccines not only protect the vaccinee against SARS-CoV-2 infection, but also offer protection against transmission to close contacts after completing the full schedule. This finding underscores the importance of full vaccination of close contacts of vulnerable persons.

Impact of vaccination on household transmission of SARS-COV-2
in England

quote:

Conclusions
In addition to the direct effects of preventing cases and reducing severity, we have shown
that both the ChAdOx1 nCoV-19 and BNT162b2 vaccines are associated with reduced
likelihood of household transmission by 40-50% from individuals diagnosed with COVID-19
after vaccination, highlighting important wider benefits to close contacts

The impact of SARS-CoV-2 vaccination on Alpha & Delta variant transmission

quote:

Using large-scale contact tracing data, we show that BNT162b2 and ChAdOx1 vaccination both reduce onward transmission of SARS-CoV-2 from individuals infected despite vaccination.

Hey, me and Obtuse linked the same study. Neat

wow, ok. i probly shouldn't respond but I am.

I did not do it as some grand gesture to pat myself on the back. I did it because I felt it was the right thing to do.

why you feel the need to be a colossal dick about my decision on what I felt was the right thing to do is on you. if it helps you feel morally superior, have at it champ.

No just as many don’t regret refusing it. Free will is great and I hope these socialists don’t try and keep taking more of it away.

Yes, I regret it. I only got it so I could travel to California and the trip ended up getting cancelled because of Covid. also, I have natural immunity. Also, my doctor buddy pretty much forced me to get the damn shot.

Nope. SO cares for her bed ridden mom. I went with the less complicated option and got the jab.

I never implied it wasn't helpful having a vaccine for it, however, pushing this vaccine so hard is about the money and not about the health of Americans. If you need regular boosters, then this vaccine isn't that great after all. How about push to get some better vaccines that last, out and approved. There's no incentive to make it better when the president is your salesman and his method is get it or you lose your livelihood and freedom. Go ahead and get your boosters, you're saving so many lives. I will continue to go out in public maskless and vaccine free everyday. If I happen to be spreading covid at some points... Well, your right to be protected from covid can come at your expense and it stops when you get into my personal space. Vice versa for me to everyone else. They need to treat this vaccine like the flu shot, period.

Both from May 2021 before boosters and variants. Got anything from the last 6 months?

Not at all. I have asthma, didn't want to catch Covid. My wife the nurse has seen numerous healthy, athletic people like myself catch it and end up w lingering lung issues.

My wife got jabbed also. Why? If she ever got Covid as a travel nurse, my pocketbook would have taken a serious hit as her hospital's quarantine policies are assinine.

Since then, neither one of us have contracted Covid that we know of. Neither one of us ever got sick previously and that has continued after the jab. I only felt a little out of it after the 2nd one, she had no ill effects.

We are NOT reclusive people. Just enjoyed a cruise on the Norwegian Breakaway out of New Orleans Thanksgiving week (just before last weeks trip ended with multiple cases).

We will not get the booster.

First, ask for what you want instead of moving the goal posts when what you ask for is provided.

Second, the study I posted was not a pre-print.

Interesting. Well I swear to Christ in heaven that I never saw it or heard him say it. But either way, that's the conclusion I naturally came to and although you probably don't believe it, I think that's the conclusion most of the country drew as well.
