I don’t get angry, I just laugh because most people that incessantly trash on Nola regardless of topic somehow think their one horse town is something special.

New Orleans doesn't have any Michelin stars because they only do reviews on a limited number of cities. They started a US guide in only NYC in 2005. They've added relatively few cities since then. The recent additions of cities seem to be secondary to those cities paying them to review their local restaurants.

It was the kind of dinner where Michelin stars are brought up and have you been to such and such place and do you know Thomas Keller?

One guy pipes up, “new Orleans doesn’t have any stars because you can’t keep that place safe”

Either a troll or OP and his baws are new money poors who spend more money than they can afford on meals they don’t understand. Either way, this thread is confirmed trashy.

Your home is your home so I get being defensive even if it is New Orleans. I get irritated when people badmouth my shithole hometown.

I love this answer. Thank you for giving me hope tonight.

New Orleans is garbage and whenever anyone brings up that trash city I tell them it’s garbage.

A city can have a crime problem as well as restaurants worthy of Michelin stars. Those two things are not mutually exclusive.

Thanks for taking up for NOLA.

Yes. It bothers me more when Frank that’s an oil change technician or Bobby that’s a scaffold building expert for Turner that makes the claim. Their only exposure to the city is when they come stay night for a footy game and walk Bourbon Street and go to a game.

Fat drunk and wanting to fight random people.
You are exactly what New Orleans represents
It's a shithole dump. Neglected and run by some of the dumbest humans in government.

I was born and raised in the City Park area of New Orleans. Still own property there. New Orleans is nothing more than a tourism/cultural city on par with Charleston, but it’s dirtier. New Orleanians don’t want to change. They’d rather concern themselves with the Saints, festivals, parades, where you went to grammar school, etc. nobody outside of New Orleans gives a crap about leaving the knife in the king cake box, having street names that are hard to pronounce, or other nonsense.
