Ohhhhh yeah. Those kids are gonna be fricked up and they don't even know it yet. What's way worse is when they just hand the tablet/phone to a loud kid just to shut him up at a restaurant or something. "Don't worry about human interaction Johnny, here's your crack!"

I've never thought posting a million photos of your babies/toddlers is a good idea. I think I'd question even posting photos of kids that don't have their own page.

I wish iPhones were a thing when I was a kid. I'd love to see more of what my life was like back then. This thread is dumb.

In 20-40 years it'll be very interesting to see political elections.

You can find a stupid embarrassing high school or college picture of pretty much anyone and kids growing up now post their every thought and action all over social media.

Snapchat nudes, pornhub search histories, tinder/bumble, etc.

so much more potential for embarrassment.

You're assuming that kid doesn't get any human interaction outside the restaurant.

However she's also almost 18 months and likes taking pictures and likes looking in the mirror

I'm not bothered by the pictures other people post. It's an online photo album that you can look at if you want, you don't have to. Plus it's pretty easy to unfollow people that post a lot of crap you don't care about seeing.

Plus I don't know a parent ever that said "I took too many photos of my kids growing up."

Does it get a bit out of hand at times? Sure. Can't argue with that.

This. I may post 1 or 2 pictures a month on FB of my kids, but it's mainly so my parents can see the pictures. I text them pictures and they don't respond. I put it on facebook, and they react. So there you go.

Ummm no I'm not. Try again. I'm talking about within the context of the restaurant and the overall message it communicates to the child.

So much of this has to do with these parents wanting to portray to the FB world that they have this wonderful life, e.g., beautiful kids, beautiful home, great vacations, awesome friends, etc.. In other words, look at me.

My wife used to try to get me to take pictures of everything. She essentially ruined moments because of picture taking. I started refusing and pointing out she was fricking up moments trying to document the kid experiencing something. She backed off. We have better times with fewer pics.

I have a two-year-old, and you're damn right he's getting the tablet at a restaurant when the colors aren't interesting anymore. And I don't give one crap what anybody thinks about it, because it's better than him screaming, crying, jumping up and down, then the wife and I have to get on him etc and make a scene.

So just know I will be the guy at a restaurant with a kid with a tablet not giving one frick about your opinion.

Do you really need to post that you're picking your kids up from school, or that you're turning in for the night

Or that your kids have lice, the lights are turned off cause you didn't pay the bill, etc. It amazes me how people will literally put anything on there with no self reflectiom on how it looks to others.
