It’s a broken family, but a family nonetheless. Go frick yourself.
Posted on 3/10/18 at 3:15 pm to GreatLakesTiger24
Yes it counts as her family.
If it is her kids then it is her biological family.
If they are adopted or from another woman’s eggs then she is a step mother.
Either way it is a family, granted a broken family because of the missing dad but still a family.

You are one judgemental person.

Yes. I’d hate to think that because I’m not married I don’t have any family.

Posted on 3/10/18 at 4:30 pm to GreatLakesTiger24

What if someone is in their 60s. They have no kids and their SO has died. The only person they have left is their mother.. Who is in her 80s.. That person would likely say "the only family I have left is my mother".
Sounds like this is personal to you,

This is one of the worst threads I have ever read.

This is a weird question you asked.

I don't care that you're a terrible human being because I don't have to live with you.

Well hell yeah. Why wouldn’t it ? What about when a parent dies; do they cease being a family?
Posted on 3/10/18 at 6:03 pm to GreatLakesTiger24
Yea they're a family and idgaf whay the reason is that they're in that situation. That's still a family.

The term single mom is applied to widows all the time and you even implied it with your statement.

Of course it does.
However, one element I wish I could be spared is the societal presumption that I as an acquaintance should give a damn about the addition of another bastard to the group.
Just this past week, I had someone stop by my office in the middle of a sprint of work to try to show off her 20 photos of the latest ultrasound.
Even after I said “no” to the initial offer.
Caved after the additioni pressure to avoid the drama spillage in front of HR.
Keep in mind that she is an extreme attention whore both in the figurative and literal sense. Been working at my company for less than a year, has fricked at least 3 coworkers in that time. The liaisons happened in such a rapid succession we aren’t sure who the father is.
Why the hell should anyone celebrate the act of you spreading your legs? Isn’t like conception by itself is an achievement.

I believe it was Bill Burr talking about how "pregnancy is a miracle" and how actually "no what's actually a miracle is how I've slept with all these women and they haven't gotten pregnant"
