Is the mom "bout it"? That's important.

Sure it does. It's their family. Do two people who have zero children not count as a family? What about kids whose parents have passed, are they not a family?

Only thing that bothers me are the women constantly acting like martyrs because they are a "single mom" yet split damn near equal time with a good father who also pays child support.

Mother may have died giving birth

So, one day youre a "family" then ol dad gets shot by an assclown wanting his wallet.. then all of a sudden youre not a family anymore? This shite makes NO sense

So when one of your parents dies, you no longer have a family?

This is like a weird hot take thread.

My mother and father had been married for 17 years when my father passed away after losing the battle to brain cancer. I was 13 years old when he died. I guess my mother and I haven't been a family all this time. Thanks for making that clear for me.

So... if my dad dies, my mom would technically be single and me and my siblings would still be family. I can't believe I just answered your stupid question.

Actually, that is indeed a family. It's a trashy family, but a family nonetheless.

Your desire for a delineation based solely on your subjective view on quality is erroneous to the generally accepted definition of the word "family". If you wish to have such a qualifier for your personal definition, that's fine and dandy but don't get your nethers all sweaty and twisted just because the rest of the world doesn't share your view on a very common word's definition.

Really?

No, they're acquaintances. Roommates.

We know exactly who it was, and it makes this thread even more sad
